The view from the districts lake, particularly in the early morning, can be spectacular.   The lake is at the just west of Lake Rd at Old Spanish Trail

The lake's new viewing area has two benches made from recycled redwood.   Unusual bird species are often seen there.  In one day last summer Belted Kingfisher, Green Heron and Wood duck were sighted.  Have an unusual sighting?  Please send Charlie Krenz a note at charleskrenz@sbcglobal.net.

The District owns the trailhead where Old Spanish Trail, the trail, intersects Old Spanish Trail, the road.  LTCWD recenlty replaced the cable system with a new split rail fence.
